Today with Blossom I played with all the same tasks as we have been playing with and everything went really well. So I won’t bore you all writing about it all again!!
I then saddled and today we started with ride the rail playing with transitions in walk, trot, stand and back up. Everything was going well so we then moved on to playing with getting her to back up from the Savvy string, this actually went ok. I still have to apply quite a lot of pressure to the string until I get a response from her but she then knows she is to back up. So I will continue to work on this to get her really soft.
Marieke then played with me on line again today to help with my canter and today went very well, Marieke had me pedalling and rubbing while we were trotting and cantering and this really seemed to help Blossom relax and stay with me.
Marieke then explained to me how to do snakey bends with Blossom to help encourage her to look where she is going and have and have her body bent in the correct way. We played with this for a while in walk and trot and it really seemed to help Blossom, so hopefully if I continue to do this she will learn to relax in this position.
