Thursday 1st January 2009!!

Happy New Year!!!

Well the new year got of to a great start for me and Blossom, everything just went so well today and we both seemed to enjoy every minute of it.

We played with:

1. Friendly game
2. Yo Yo game getting the back up faster
3.Yo Yo game over a pole
4.Yo Yo into the trailer from 22ft
5.Sideways with and without a fence, working on getting her to go and stop from my energy
6.Circles - getting them really soft and her focus on me
7.Transistions on the circle including stand and a couple of steps of back up
8.Change of direction
9.Figure of eight pattern

I then saddled, and again today I used Smarty’s saddle seen as everything went so well using this yesterday.
Today we started with riding the rail of the round pen, and there was no impulsion problems at all it was amazing. I don’t think I actually used the reins at all today, only my energy and the CS and she was brilliant. We done lots of trot and I also added in lots of transitions to really keep her focused on my energy and I really couldn’t fault her!!

Well I am sure you have guessed I had a brilliant day, so because we were having so much fun I played for longer than normal which was great for Blossom but it meant I ran out of time for Smarty today. So he had a little day off.
