Friday 2nd January

Today I started with Smarty to make sure I don’t run out of time for him today!

We played with:

1. Friendly with the CS
2. Friendly with the CS and plastic bag
3.Friendly on his legs with my hands
4. Picking up his feet
5. Yo Yo game
6. Yo Yo game over a pole - he done this well, just a little approach and retreat needed when he got closer to the pole
7.Sideways - still working on getting this soft and to have slack in the line, much better today though
8. Friendly game while he was circling
9. Getting circles softer and getting his focus on me
10. Standing on the pedestal

Smarty was really good today and I am really noticing a difference in him, he really appears a much happier pony and more confident to be around people.

Today with Blossom we played with:

1.Friendly game
2. YoYo game, working on getting the back up faster and the draw better.
3. Yo Yo over a pole
4. Circles - she was so soft and relaxed today!! I think my main problem was getting her to stay in trot!!
5. Change of direction
6. Sideways, was much softer today
7 Sideways at trot

Well today with Blossom was another great day, she was soo good again it is like I have a new pony…
I asked Marieke to come and watch my change of direction today as I feel the last few days it has been really good, but I thought it was worth getting someone to have a look to make sure I am doing everything correct. Well Marieke thought my change of direction was really good and the only fault was Blossom wasn’t maintaining gait all the time. So I felt really good about this as it wasn’t just on the change Blossom would slow it was all the time so this I know I will be able to fix quite easily. She also had a look at my sideways and said this was also really good, even when we were doing it in trot. So I was really happy today!!
